Network Marketing. Back in the day of the Dinosaur, all you had to do was bash whatever it was you wanted over the head and you got it. Today, many marketers treat their customers in exactly the same way and just keep bashing them into submission, hoping they give in.
“Buy my stuff, Buy my Stuff”….
This does not work…
OK, let's start with you..
Tony Robbins once said “It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped”. This really hits the nail on the head for me as it is only when we truly “decide” to be successful that we truly attract the right components in us, and to us , to achieve it.
What do I mean by that?
Well, quite simply. You can “learn” from books, you can learn from courses and webinars, however the real learning comes from going out there and getting your hands dirty. The way to be successful at anything is by consistent repetitive action toward one main goal.
However.. there is a right way and a wrong way.
People are attracted to you for various reasons, but in business in order to part with money, people have to have some sort of clarity in their mind that you and your products are the right “fit” for them..
They have to believe in you. This of course starts with you.. Do you believe in yourself?
Are you purely obsessed with making a “buck” or are you truly dedicated to making a “life”?.. The answer to this question will of course determine how you approach the task..
Unfortunately there will always be “quick buck” artists from the Fred Flintstone school of Marketing out there..No relationship building just Wham, BAM, buy my stuff Mam.
In order to WIN, you need to be seen as a WINNER!… people who are often seen as Winners in the Marketing business are people who see themselves as Winners, and are received as a problem solver, not just a supplier of goods.
People buy into YOU, they look to you for advice to improve their lives. When people buy things, the reason behind most purchases is a desire to be happy. If you are seen as the person who can bring that about, you will always be desired by others.
People are joining your business (or not), based on how likely they view you as the person to help them achieve results for themselves.
So, where does desire come from and how can you use it to be successful in your business?
Desire comes from deep down, you may want things, but desiring them with PASSION is something on an entirely different level. Intense desire brings things about, almost all of the time, whereas wanting something and not truly desiring it with passion is a bit like a weak prayer.
Desire, is when you want something so badly, you take the action required, no matter what, to bring it about.
If you are thinking of giving up, your goose is well and truly cooked. You can't give up on something you TRULY desire, you can only give up on things that were not NO1 in your head and heart in the first place.
Most people would like to be financially wealthy. But being wealthy, financially or otherwise, starts with the mind. If it's just a “good idea”, it probably won't happen. We tend to get the things that we desire the most, or “expect” We get the things that we obsessively know that there will be no other outcome.
In other words. Those things that we have NO doubt about getting.
Let me give you an example.
When you dated your partner, or spouse and you went through the ritual of attraction marketing. Did you ever think that you would not WIN that person's affection?. Did you ever have doubt in your mind that you would be a couple?. NO?. Well, fast forward to today… do you now feel the same way about your business?.
You see, it's a simple mind shift. You can't stop a seed that's already planted in the brain. Yes you can nurture that seed (or thought) with positive surroundings, books, audios etc, but if you TRULY desired the end result… NOTHING can stop you from reaching it.. (only YOU).
The current relationship you are having with your business is often a direct reflection of the relationship you are having with yourself right now. If self doubt is creeping in, the results will not flow in your business.. Business is about people, people need to see that choosing YOU was their right decision. Was It?
If you truly decide to be successful, no one can stop you. Stop blaming outside forces on your setbacks or lack of success, and decide that this is YOUR time, no one can take this away from you, except you.
If you are struggling in your business for example, don't let others talk you into quitting, you're not just quitting on your business, you're quitting on yourself. No one ever got good at anything by quitting.
I often talk about being “bullet proof” and people ask me, what does that mean?. Well it simply means that even if everything goes wrong, even if your business seems to have stalled, even if you suck (for now) at video, keep going. People will always be in pain.
Build a business by offering solutions, NOT by the “Fred Flintstone” method of marketing, constantly bashing people on the head with your opportunity is not going to make it, or YOU more desirable.
Just remember why you started. You probably started your business because you wanted to free. Free from being told what to do, free from always having to struggle, looking at prices and wondering if you can afford to buy it. Change will come when you change yourself.
Freedom comes when you free your mind up and concentrate on the possibilities, instead of the problems.
